AlburyCity Council: A mixed portfolio, from botanic gardens to meeting rooms, on one booking platform
Sporting grounds, parks, botanic gardens, community centers and meeting rooms brought onto one platform for casual users, regular renters and community groups.
A genuinely mixed portfolio
Albury's facilities do not resemble each other. A botanic garden, a sporting ground, a community center and a meeting room have different rules, different rate classes, different insurance requirements and completely different booking rhythms. Before the platform, that variety was handled by manual, fragmented processes, which is workable until volume or staff turnover exposes it.
The council also had three distinct user populations to serve at once: casual users booking a space for a single occasion, regular renters with recurring allocations, and community groups with their own eligibility and rate treatment.
What they did
All of it went onto one platform, with rules configured per space rather than per organization. Residents can check availability and book online at any time instead of calling or visiting in person, and regular renters work through a portal built for a recurring relationship rather than repeating a one-off booking process.
- Civica Authority. Finance integration for financial management and receipting.
- Azure Active Directory. Secure staff access through the council's existing identity provider.
- Online payments. Handled through the council's payment provider, reconciled to the same ledger.
What changed
Staff workload on manual processing reduced, and that capacity was redirected toward community engagement rather than administration. This is the outcome agencies most consistently report to us and the one that is hardest to put a number against without publishing figures we have chosen not to publish.
This is a production integration. We will show you the reconciliation rather than describe it.
Why it is relevant to a North American agency
If your portfolio is varied rather than uniform, Albury is the useful comparison. The question to test on a demo is whether rules really can differ that much per space while the customer record, the payment path and the reporting stay unified. Bring your two most dissimilar facilities and make us configure both.
