OptimoGov North America

Why OptimoGov

Purpose-built for government, and honest about what we are not.

We are new to North America. We have been building for local government since 2004. Both of those are true, and the way we handle the second is the reason to take the first seriously.

Our FAQ opens by stating we have no North American municipal customers yet. Nobody else in this category does that.

Six reasons agencies shortlist us

Why agencies put us on the shortlist.

01

Built for local government

Purpose-built for municipal facility operations, permitting and public accountability, not adapted from a gym or club product. Public sector conditions like residency tests, delegated approval and open meeting publication are core, not custom work.

02

The whole portfolio, not one department

Twelve business areas from community centers to bulk waste collection, all included in the subscription. Most vendors in this market sell parks and recreation and stop there.

03

Published terms

Pricing on the site, a written quote in five business days, the sample agreement before your panel shortlists, and no annual escalator built into renewal.

04

A certification ledger with the gaps in it

ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, SOC 1 Type I and PCI DSS, alongside a plain statement that we are not on GovRAMP and hold no cooperative purchasing contract.

05

Accessibility as evidence, not a claim

A WCAG 2.1 AA resident portal with a conformance report your ADA coordinator can file, against dates we state correctly.

06

Delivery risk on us

A fixed implementation fee quoted before you sign. If the project runs long against our plan, that is our cost, not a change order.

The honest part

What we are not, stated before you ask.

A vendor new to a market has two options. Imply a reference base it does not have, or say so and compete on something else. We chose the second, and it is the single most common reason agencies tell us they took a first call.

  • No North American municipal customers yet. Not one. We say it in the first answer of our homepage FAQ. What we offer instead is reference calls with comparable agencies overseas, first-cohort commercial terms and a contract that puts implementation risk on us.
  • Not on GovRAMP. We are not on the authorized product list in any status. Where your state requires GovRAMP or an equivalent such as TX-RAMP, tell us during the RFP and we will confirm our position on your timeline rather than let you find out at contract.
  • No cooperative purchasing contract. No Sourcewell, OMNIA Partners, NASPO ValuePoint, BuyBoard or TIPS award. Where your policy allows it we can support a piggyback, a state term contract or a sole source justification.
  • Not FedRAMP, and not pursuing it. We sell to state, local and municipal government, not federal agencies, and we would rather say that than leave it ambiguous.
  • French coverage is scoped, not complete. We support French-language resident content for Quebec deployments. Confirm the exact scope with us before writing it into a solicitation.

The cluster

Everything a reviewer will ask for, in one place.

Five pages, each written for a different person on your evaluation panel.

  • Trust Center. For your IT reviewer. Certifications, data residency, security controls, and the security pack. Open it
  • Implementation. For your project sponsor. Four to eight weeks, the four stages, and what we need from you. See the plan
  • Procurement and RFP kit. For your purchasing officer. Four routes to award and a requirements template. Open the kit
  • Customer stories. For everyone. Six councils, described without the figures we do not publish. Read them
  • Compared. For your evaluation matrix. What we publish that others in this category do not. See the comparison
